Position Description:


Responsible for growing profitable sales in the foodservice channel via operator and distributor penetration leveraging core portfolio, brokers, new item development, pricing and program negotiation, etc. The person in this role will be responsible for both pioneering new business and managing current accounts in this “high growth” area for the company.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement effective customer strategies to grow the commercial account base
  • Manage existing foodservice customers to grow sales via new items, incentives, etc.
  • Generate new business via new account selling by calling on both end user accounts including national and regional chains, broadline distributors and large bakery manufacturers.
  • Work with 2 regional brokers to drive sales with distributors and end users.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and able to collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development, quality and pricing strategies.
  • Attend food shows to generate leads, identify new market and customer opportunities, and evaluate new go-to-market strategies


Qualifications, Requirements, and Competencies:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in CPG sales (Industrial and Foodservice sales experience preferred)
  • Business to Business Sales Experience, Broker responsibility and/or Account Management preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, project management, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to generate new customer leads, work with brokers and call on broadline distributors
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with our customers
  • Identify broader opportunities and close new business with new customers
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Travel approx. 60% of the time for customer calls, food shows, etc.
