On June 5th, members of our amazing Bumble Bee team, supported by a group of and family and friends, came together to give back to our community by volunteering at the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. 🤝❤️ Our dedicated team helped to pack 10 pallets of meals – that’s 600 meal boxes and 21,000 lbs. of food - which will result in 9,000 meals for seniors in the San Diego area. It was a rewarding experience that allowed us to make a positive impact beyond the workplace, and within our community. 🌟🍽️ A huge thank you to the San Diego Food Bank for the opportunity to support your mission. Our Teriyaki tuna pouch is a delectable mix of sweet, tangy teriyaki with notes of garlic, green onion, and sesame. The new pouch designs feature tasty recipe images with QR code links on back of pack. Check out this behind-the-scenes look at our employee volunteer day with SeaTrees and Nature Collective ! Together, we are helping to restore 15k sq-ft of salt marsh at the San Elijo Lagoon in our hometown of San Diego. This project is one of the most extensive wetland restorations in California, and we are proud to partner with local organizations to help protect and restore the health of our oceans. 

Bumble Bee's VP of Responsible Sourcing & Sustainability joined the Global Ghost Gear Initiative's Annual Meeting alongside a diverse group of attendees that included fishers, government representatives, NGOs, and technology companies to discuss solutions that address the industry-wide issue of abandoned, lost, and discarded fishing gear ("ghost gear"). Traci Linder presented on the industry leading work that Bumble Bee is spearheading to address this issue and develop practical and sustainable solutions for its supply chain. In honor of #EarthMonth, some of our amazing team members spent the day getting dirty at the San Elijo Lagoon in our hometown of San Diego! Together with our partner SeaTrees and local San Diego nonprofit, The Nature Conservancy, we are helping to restore 15k sq-ft of salt marsh at their coastal watershed restoration project. This project supports Bumble Bee’s sustainability pillar of caring for our oceans, not only internationally, but also locally. Bumble Bee staff counted and identified plants, planted native species, removed invasive species, and cleaned up trash.
