Clinical Education Specialist -- Remote | WFH

We are looking for a dedicated and professional Clinical Education Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing clinical education and training to healthcare professionals in the Northeast region. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing industry changes, analyzing business intelligence, fostering positive relationships with professional entities, and providing clinical expertise to customers. You will also act as a consultant to healthcare providers, present relevant materials at professional meetings, publish industry-related information, validate continuing education program objectives, and support the development of ongoing education programs.

Key Responsibilities

Industry Assessment: Evaluate changes in standards that impact service delivery.

Business Intelligence: Analyze and interpret data from various sources to inform decisions.

Standards Development: Develop and implement standards using independent judgment.

Legislation Knowledge: Stay updated on legislation and rules affecting business activities.

Professional Relationships: Foster positive relationships with committees and professional entities.

Clinical Expertise: Provide expert advice to customers, potential customers, sales force, and account managers.

Consulting: Act as a consultant to healthcare providers on standards, throughput, infection prevention, and construction.

Presentations: Present materials at national, regional, and local professional society meetings and workshops.

Publications: Publish information in newsletters, blogs, journals, etc., related to industry standards and services.

Education Programs: Validate continuing education program objectives and content to ensure CE eligibility.

Program Development: Support the development and facilitation of education programs for sales representatives, technical and clinical staff, and customers.

Skills & Requirements

Experience: 3-5 years in a Sterile Processing and/or Endoscope Processing setting.

Education & Training: Preferred experience in education, training, and presentation within Sterile Processing and/or Endoscopy.

Degree: Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of equipment and supplies used in Sterile Processing and/or Endoscopy departments.

Certifications

For RNs, maintain current state licensure and specialty nursing certifications such as AORN or SGNA.

For technicians, maintain or pass specialty certification within Sterile Processing (CBSPD / IAHCSMM) and membership in relevant professional groups.

For Infection Preventionists, CIC certification is preferred.

Licenses: Valid driver's license and passport required for travel.

Vendor Certification: Must pass all vendor certification requirements.
