About the Company: One of The Cayman Islands' largest banks is currently in formation for a new banking entity in Austin, aiming to reshape the alternative asset management sector. With conditional approval granted by the OCC and the bank aiming for an opening this September (2024), the stage is set for transformative operational strategies as the pre-opening team is finalized. A new COO is needed ASAP as the launch is imminent.
Position Overview: The ideal candidate is a seasoned Chief Operating Officer with a strong banking operations background, who is excited by the prospect of creating the playbook, thriving in the chaos of a startup environment, and embracing an entrepreneurial spirit.
A "figure it out" attitude is what we need. There's no playbook, it's going to be manic and that's part of the fun, for the right person.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee all banking operations, ensuring efficient and effective processes.
Develop and implement operational strategies and frameworks from the ground up.
Manage and optimize ACH procedures, wire transfers, and other critical banking operations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
Drive operational efficiency and excellence across all departments.
Collaborate closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to align operational goals with overall business strategy.
Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and high performance.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Chief Operating Officer or in a similar senior leadership role within the banking sector.
Deep understanding of banking operations, including ACH procedures, wire transfers, and regulatory compliance.
Strong track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
