About Signature
Founded in 1991, Signature Theatre celebrates playwrights and gives them an artistic home, producing six to eight productions annually. In 2005 Signature began its groundbreaking Signature Ticket Initiative, providing affordable tickets to all of its productions. In 2012, Signature opened The Pershing Square Signature Center, the Frank Gehry-designed 75,000 square foot Center featuring three theatres, two rehearsal studios, a central, public lobby with a café and bookstore, as well as administrative offices.

Position Summary
Signature Theatre’s Associate General Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing and implementing production, administrative and financial practices for all Signature productions and events.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Supervises General Management Assistant and Fellow
With the General Manager supervise Company Manager and Covid Safety Manager(s).
With the General Manager recruit, interview, hire and train new staff.
With the General Manager create, manage and reconcile budgets for Signature productions, development work, residencies, GM department, SigSpace, LaunchPad and any additional programming
Draft and administer production artist contracts and correspond with artist representatives and unions
Process, approve and distribute weekly invoices, check requests, royalty reports and company payroll with related union reports
Maintain union relationships; prepare concession requests; manage union reporting and bonding; research and negotiate special requests
With the General Manager and Rentals Manager draft and maintain modeling of Signature’s seasonal schedule and production calendars
Research and negotiate other production needs including music and photo/video licensing requests and offsite rehearsal space
Communicate and proof all contractual billing
Collaborate interdepartmentally to schedule, execute and support all Center use and programming
Provide administrative support for overall department needs
Manage the Covid Safety needs for Signature productions and events and serve as the back-up Covid Safety Manager as required.
Desired Skills And Experience
Three to five years' related experience required; institutional non-profit Off-Broadway theatre and theatrical general management highly desired
Outstanding organizational skills and extraordinary attention to detail
Superior project management skills and keen ability to multi-task across various teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
An understanding of theatrical labor unions and collectively bargained agreements - (AEA, SDC, USA, 802)
An understanding of non-profit finance, budgeting, production calendaring, license agreements, and theatrical contracting
Strong time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
A curiosity to learn new technologies and skills as needed
Ability to communicate and handle sensitive information with diverse constituents
Compensation
This is a fulltime, exempt position. The annual salary is $70,000-$75,00. An excellent benefit package includes medical, dental, vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, transit benefit program, and employee assistance program.
