Here’s a reminder to all challengers that the deadline to submit white papers and quad charts for the Advanced Naval Technology Exercise (AI ANTX) fiscal year 2024 (FY24) Challenge is next Wednesday, May 15., 9 a.m. PDT. Use the QR code in the attached image or click the hyperlinked image to go directly to the AI ANTX FY24 Challenge listed on Challenge.Gov where you’ll find the timelines and requirements. Basic eligibility: Individual participants, teams, and commercial or academic entities based in the United States can submit their solutions for the challenge. Submissions from NAVWAR support contractors will be evaluated but are not eligible to receive the cash award associated with the Challenge. Additionally, individual participants and team members must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents aged 18 or older as of April 1, 2024. This challenge, offering a total of $150,000 in cash prizes, seeks innovative AI-driven technologies that can interpret unstructured language to enhance decision-making within naval operations. Participants are tasked with developing AI solutions that can monitor conversations, extract relevant information, provide predictive analytics, and even suggest courses of action based on commanders' intents. DISA Expands Thunderdome Zero Trust Program Deployment; Brian Hermann, Quoted. ExecutiveGov discusses the Defense Information Systems Agency's (DISA) expansion of the Thunderdome zero trust program. In 2023, the program was deployed to 15 sites and plans are underway to extend it to 60 more sites in 2024. The program involves four key components: 🔐 Customer security stacks 🔗 Software-defined wide area networking 📴 Secure access service edge capability, and 💯 Application security stacks. The DoD just announce the TIDE RFI - The purpose of this RFI is to identify technologies from private industry, Government research and development (R&D) organizations, and academia for inclusion in the annual TIDE 2024. TIDE 2024 is invitation-only and structured similarly to a trade show with opportunities for showcasing limited prototype functionality. The DoD and U.S. interagency partners use TIDE to identify and influence the state-of-play of innovative technologies from a broad spectrum of capability areas, which informs decision-making for enhancing future strategic and operational capabilities. DoD recently announced the formation of “SWAT” teams to support software acquisition programs in the use of agile development methodologies.
