What's the best way to keep your focus on strategy and avoid getting bogged down in operations?
You can't focus on one at the cost of the other. Strategy & Operations go hand in hand. Strategy is the plan and Operations is the execution, or put another way Strategy is the steering wheel and operations are the pedals and transmission. If you focus solely on Strategy, all of sudden you may be pointed in the right direction, but not moving forward. If you focus too much on Operations, you might be moving rapidly, but in the wrong direction. Strong Management and Leadership have to walk and chew gum, its why they get paid the big bucks (if they are any good).
