Great efforts by Adnan El-Achkar in our recently published systematic review that evaluates the outcomes of partial-component versus complete explant and replacement in revision surgeries for noninfected malfunctioning inflatable penile prostheses (IPP). The study analyzed data from 11 articles involving 12,202 patients. Results indicated that partial-component exchanges had higher infection (6.3%) and complication rates (23.9%) compared to complete replacements (2.7% infection, 11.3% complications) and reservoir retention (3.9% infection, 19.6% complications). Moreover, mechanical failure rates were similar across all groups.
