How can leaders develop their adaptability to handle difficult conversations?
As a former HR professional, it’s important to lead off with the person you are going to talk to that this is going to be a difficult conversation and we well get through it. That prepares them better for the discussion. Then focus on specific issues that need to be addressed with the results that need to happen going forward. Allow them to share their insights as long as it relates to the topic at hand. Stay in control of the meeting and make sure the person you are talking to is clear on what is expected of them at the conclusion of the meeting. Follow up on the actions they are to take over the next few weeks.

How can you motivate employees to reach their full potential?
In my experience, I choose to say you inspire staff by creating a workplace that is supportive and provides opportunity for growth and development. Motivation is an inside job and has to be what the employee wants to do a part from you. It is essential to provide feedback, good and constructive with specific examples that allow the employee to be their very best. It is helping them to develop by providing mentoring and wisdom you have learned on your journey. It is sincerely caring about the people you lead showing empathy and compassion
