If you have a hard truth to tell. Here’s how you do it: Fear can stop us from saying important things.  Even if those things are necessary and give us purpose.  Being quiet is comfortable.  And speaking out is extremely uncomfortable. But comfort is overrated. Comfort maintains the status quo. As Luvvi Ajayi Jones puts it in her TED Talk:  🔮 We need to “Get comfortable with being uncomfortable”. That’s how we bring about meaningful change. If you feel you have something to say, ask yourself these 3 questions: ❓ Do I mean it? ❓ Can I defend it? ❓ Am I saying it with love? If the answer to all of those is “Yes” then you need to say it. Being honest and sharing your opinion with the world is how we advance.  If more people have the courage to step out of their comfort zone and speak up, We can cause others to speak up too. That’s how we change the world. Setting boundaries with a friend can be remarkably challenging. On one hand, you cherish the relationship and fear damaging it. On the other, unspoken frustrations and/or bad treatment can breed resentment. The internal struggle between maintaining harmony and protecting your own well-being can be emotionally taxing. Setting a boundary with your beloved BFF requires courage and a willingness to lose the friendship if need be. In this video, I share a personal story of when I set a boundary with someone I dearly cherished, what happened and what I learned.
