Sprint Goal Commitment: Developers commit to achieving the Sprint Goal, not necessarily completing all selected backlog items. This means the Sprint Backlog can be adapted to optimize goal achievement. Ownership of the Sprint Backlog: Developers have full ownership of the Sprint Backlog. While the Product Owner and Scrum Master can provide input, they cannot dictate changes. Developers' self-management is key. Multiple Increments per Sprint: #Teams can deliver multiple increments within a Sprint, contrary to the belief that delivery only happens at the Sprint's end. Agency Recruiter Tip - Following up with your recruiters...(hint a recruiters favorite thing to do is make an offer, followed with scheduling an interview) I've had this come up lately a lot and wanted to give a few tips and things to think about. I have submitted 1000's of people over the years and worked with many different types of hm's One thing is ALWAYS true. well almost.. The recruiter and candidate have a tremendously different sense of urgency than the HM and client manager. (a client manager is the recruiter in charge of handling the company and communication with that company and the recruiters working the job) Candidates REALLY want to know what's going on at all times. often I get a message a day from someone in process. Same with Recruiters. I have a few on my team that ask me multiple times a day on progress here's the thing I want to really drive home here. Even if I was a terrible sub par recruiter I would DEFINITELY always tell the recruiter and candidate if I had an update. It's my commission and livelihood too. Since I'm not a terrible recruiter and kind of annoying in general, I ask for updates as much as I think I can get away with. I had a client at the end of last year tell us on a conference call that I was her favorite and I thought she hated me because I ALWAYS feel like I'm bothering her for updates. So I must be hitting the top of the line of just being a slight nuisance. Its an art-form and also applicable to dating. You're welcome If you aren't hearing from your recruiter, they do not know anything GOOD. Chances are they don't know at all or it's bad news. here's the takeaway. Follow up as often as you think is necessary. If you have a recruiter that doesn't hate money, you will get the good news about that interview or offer seconds after they get it. If you're sending 2-3 emails/DM's without response, it's bad news. Move on. Bonus - If you're working with me i try to let people know to check in with me once a week on the off chance that I miss something, which I rarely do but it happens. I have a bunch of recruiters slacking me multiple times a day along with Amy and my candidates. I have an ATS and a spreadsheet to track progress and MOST of my clients are great about comms. If you are having trouble, reach out to me. *Make sure that you have your job descriptions filled out on your Linkedin profile after you set this up* 2.1)Location Types: Personal preference here. 3) Locations (On-site): Use COUNTIES to open up your pool of searches/job alerts that you can populate on. For my hybrid people...If you can work 1 day a week hybrid/onsite in a county that is 2 hours away, then list that county. This is ALSO helpful if you are open to relocation, list the states or cities that you are preparing to move to. Max this out with all 5 locations. 4)Locations (Remote): Remote locations should be opened up the most. List the ENTIRE STATE as this is a major qualifier on most remote postings. I haven't made a post about this in a while, but as of today, here are my current statistics regarding unemployment since February 2024: 2 second round interviews 5 first round interviews 7 screening calls ====================== 124 applications submitted regarding Recruiting 36 applications submitted regarding Sourcing 14 applications submitted regarding Talent Acquisition Operations 32 applications submitted regarding Data Analytics 3 DEI programming oriented roles 41 applications submitted to local universities/colleges (not included in above stats) 17 customer experience roles 28 customer service roles 6 managerial/lead roles 2 process improvement roles ====================== Skills trained, improved, developed during this time: *SQL *PowerBI *Tableau *R *Mentorship and leadership skills *Learned ~30 new ASL signs *Grew 2 levels in German via Duolingo *Have a performance booked at a local club where I'm going to play an hour of live ambient and breakbeat music, alongside writing lighting sequences in Resolume *Journaling and Meditation It's disheartening to be suffering and, in spite of the weight of not being able to survive (let alone thrive), to continue moving forward, but that's all I got. Anyway, I love learning, teaching, and growing as a person. If you provide the stability, I'll provide the longevity.
