We're halfway through 2024, which sadly means approximately 150,000 more men have been diagnosed with prostate cancer this year. You can make a difference for these patients by giving to our limited-time matching gift fund! The Schwartz Family has stepped forward to match every donation – dollar for dollar – made to ZERO Prostate Cancer, up to $10,000. But you must act fast – this matching gift expires at midnight tomorrow. Our goal is to secure funding that will allow all patients to access help as they face their diagnoses. Give at zerocancer.org/give-now. #ZEROProstateCancer

We stand with American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) in urging Governor John Carney to immediately sign a crucial bill that will improve access to lifesaving prostate cancer screenings for high-risk men in Delaware. The Delaware legislature has passed the bill, making it the eighth state to prioritize accessible preventative care in combating this disease. Tell Congress to support innovative new cancer screenings! The Nancy Gardner Sewell Medicare Multi-Cancer Early Detection Screening Coverage Act is being heard in the House today. This groundbreaking bill could pave the way for Medicare to cover new blood-based cancer screenings, including PSA tests—potentially catching cancer in the early stages. June 27 is National PTSD Awareness Day. This day holds particular significance for our nation's veterans, many of whom face the invisible wounds of war in the form of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. And as a nation, we need to do a better job at protecting and serving our veterans. At ZERO Prostate Cancer, we recognize that there is immediate action as well as long-term planning that needs to take place to ensure that veterans get the support they need - especially when it comes to prostate cancer. You may not know: --Nearly 489,000 prostate cancer patients are in the VA health system. 16,000 of these patients have metastatic prostate cancer. --9 million Veterans receive healthcare from the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). --Military personnel are twice as likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer as the general public. --Prostate cancer is the most common cancer diagnosis among U.S. Veterans, and makes up 30% of new cancer diagnoses in the VA. --The burden of prostate cancer among Veterans is substantial with over 200,000 survivors and 12,000 new diagnoses annually.
