In case you missed it, last night we recognised Hire A Hubby's $1m contribution to PCFA’s work over the past decade. The story, broadcast nationally on A Current Affair, featured advocate and champion Jen Berton and her children, Kai and Beth. Jen became known to us in 2021, after she sent an email asking us why Australian men weren’t being encouraged to undergo PSA testing for prostate cancer. Her husband Mike was diagnosed with the disease at age 51 and died just 22 months later. He had no symptoms. We spoke to Jen last night after the story aired and she repeated what she’s said many times, “If we save just one life”. Thanks to everyone in the PCFA community who helps us do that. ❤️ Steve Callister AM Brendan Green Anne Savage Janet R. Graeme Sams Janyne Moore Amie Meehan Ryan van Haalen Sarah Forster

Anyone who has ever tried to organise a fundraising event involving children, animals, or automobiles will know it’s not easy. And that’s why we’re blown away to announce that this year’s Cruise for the Cause in Darwin has just raised $40,944 for our work. Our congratulations go to Founder and Organiser of the event, Dan Leather, who is well known for running at full throttle on all cylinders, 366 days a year. Dan has been supporting us via the Cruise since 2019, Darwin’s biggest hot rod, classic car and vintage motorcycle event. In total, the Cruise for the Cause has raised a whopping $263k for our work, supporting NT men with prostate cancer. Cheers to the many car and motorcycle lovers who turned out on the day to make it real – we’re grateful for the difference you make. We’re already looking forward to next year - save the date and we’ll see you there – 1 June 2025.

This week is World Continence Week, with the theme ‘Let’s Talk’. The campaign is a high priority for PCFA, with around 1 in 10 men in our community reporting significant concerns as a result of urinary incontinence. In response, today we're hosting a national call-in day to provide expert information and advice. Our Specialist Nurses will be fielding calls until 6pm this evening and are ready to assist. In fact, we're ready to assist every day - if you have concerns about the side effects of prostate cancer, we can help. Just call 1800 22 00 99. 💙

Western Sydney priest Father David Catterall has had male breast cancer, Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and a double whammy of prostate cancer. Today he’s halfway to reaching his target of 30kms in our Walk for Him, and we’re doubling down to cheer him on by matching all donations to the campaign. “Thank God for medical intervention and the skills of the medical world,” he says. “I’m overwhelmed by the support…it gives me great heart.” We’re proud to embrace Fr David and others in our community during the Walk for Him for Men’s Health Week. Big cheers to the champions at Tyrepower for doubling all donations today.
