Cancer is a big problem. Or more accurately from a scientific perspective, it's hundreds of problems. Add in messy human layers, health systems, access and insurance, health literacy.......it's thousands upon thousands of problems.
When I joined VML I was so excited to see the fruition of Dogs Without Borders, pictured in this article. It's so much more than "just" a campaign. It's a solution. It's creative and technological; it's scientific. Most importantly, it's human. After the success of the pilot, it is officially now systemic, having been adopted by local governments. THAT is the power of health craft and creativity. Oncology needs bold campaigns and medical breakthroughs, but it needs creativity and craft to accelerate change.
Thanks Natxo Díaz for the vision and leadership. We have much more to do!
Yes, creativity can kill cancer!
See an article below where Natxo Díaz, our Global Head of Craft at VML HEALTH shares his perspective on How to Kill Cancer with Creativity.
And as we continue to mobilize our efforts against this terrible diagnosis we can make real change, in the right direction. We can all accelerate the need to help make cancer manageable, especially for those tumor types that continue to be devastating, and for those for whom even the most chronic cancers become devastating because they don’t have access to the best treatments. As Natxo stated, “creativity thrives in emotional spaces”. We can do this, we must.
