I am excited to announce that Odyssey has raised $4.75 million in funding led by Katherine Boyle at Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Village Global, Bling Capital, Packy McCormick, Red House Education, Avalanche VC, John Danner, Ryan Delk. along with founders and early team members from Stripe, Wonderschool, Primer, Sora Schools, Higher Ground Education, Hellosaurus, On Deck, Factor and Ender. I founded Odyssey in 2021 to help families access high quality K-12 education. As a school leader who has opened 55+ schools I saw firsthand how difficult it is for parents and providers to utilize new education policies that fund families directly, such as education savings accounts and microgrants. As more states pass these policies, the need for a trusted administrator will only increase. At Odyssey, we have created the first platform designed exclusively to fund families directly and give parents freedom and choice over how to educate their children. We allow parents to customize their education, whether they want to attend an after school program, homeschool, or hire a tutor. Our first of its kind platform allows states to quickly set up, scale, and provide funding to families. We handle all aspects of program administration from marketing and applications to payments and vendor recruitment. Our first state launch in Idaho has seen huge demand and our platform has processed more than 48k children and 25K parents and has awarded families more than $27 million to date. We plan on continuing to roll out the platform to more states in the weeks and months ahead.
