Sometimes Waterson Terminal Services, LLC operations are not quick, sometimes they run 24/7. This week at PROVPORT INC that statement held very true. Not one, not two, but three operations were running 24/7. First; We had Lehigh Cement LLC / Heidelberg Materials discharging cement. Using their vacuum arm barge "Alva Frank Poirier" to unload from vessel "Liverpool Strait" Second; Schnitzer Steel / Radius Recycling using their American fiction crawler crane to load out hundreds of tons of scrap steel onto the vessel "SSI Endurance" Third; Boskalis is doing a subsea cable loadout. Spooling thousands of feet, from a quayside carousel down a highway of rollers onto the very impressive "Transshelf" vessel. Also we had appearances from; "ECO Edison" "Laney Chouest" "C-Fighter" "C-Legend" "C-Liberty" "Ocean Marlin" "Grande Luanda" Edison Chouest Offshore Grimaldi Group Heidelberg Materials North America McAllister Towing Boskalis Offshore Energy Boskalis Subsea Ørsted WIND United Rentals DOC Cable Solutions Vineyard Wind Vineyard Offshore #littlefourchon #nightshift

Riggs Distler, a Centuri Group, Inc. Company, is thrilled to announce our partnership with Vineyard Offshore for the Vineyard Wind 2 project. This 1,200 MW offshore wind initiative promises $80 million in direct economic expenditures in Rhode Island and up to $26.5 million for local workforce development, technology innovation, and support for the community. As part of this groundbreaking project, we will be localizing the fabrication and assembly of secondary steel components at the Port of Providence. This will create around 150 onsite jobs, contributing to 300 job-years of employment, all while using union labor and regional subcontractors. Our Rhode Island operation is pivotal in the offshore wind industry, and we’re eager to continue our successful work at Waterson Terminal Services, LLC. We are wrapping up another busy week at Waterson Terminal Services, LLC and PROVPORT INC. This week I had the privilege of touring the SOV ECO EDISON , a truly impressive first of its kind SOV built in the US and operated by Edison Chouest Offshore, the first of many to come, and we are proud to continue providing vessel support services. We also got a visit from the Dino Chouest as it embarks on a mission to the Titanic. At the same time, Jan De Nul Group vessel Connector was in port to mobilize for inter array cable work in support of Vineyard Wind 1 and we look forward to having her back throughout the year. As you can see, on any given day our port continues to support Offshore Wind and traditional project vessels and can look like "little Fourchon" or a smaller version of Esbjerg, Denmark's busy OSW port.
