For 90 years, the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) has remained a trustworthy, compassionate, and expert community-based healthcare organization. We are pleased to announce our updated mission statement to encompass where we are headed in the years to come: The Visiting Nurse Association provides care to our community, enhancing health and well-being with compassion, dignity and integrity.

It's HOT which means we're adding cold water bottles to our coolers for the volunteers so they stay hydrated during their deliveries. We were honored to play host to the good people of Bank of America for their annual Volunteer Appreciation event! Over 100 B of A volunteers listened to remarks and words of gratitude from Jennifer Chandler, managing director, president of Bank America Dallas and head of philanthropic solutions for Bank of America and Katherine Krause, President and CEO of VNA. The volunteers then enjoyed fellowship, refreshments and photo booth fun! We are so grateful for our long-term partnership with B of A! Our team was out in full force at the Aging in Place Conference earlier this month! Together with the Community Council of Greater Dallas and The The Senior Source, we collaborated to host a day-long conference on the challenges, benefits, and gaps associated with aging independently or aging in one's home. Sarah Harris, VNA's Director of Hospice Marketing, and Inga Wilson, VNA's Managing Director of Health and Population Services served as speakers at the event. Our Community Healthcare Workers manned an information table as well. Caregivers, healthcare professionals, and those interested in learning more about aging in place were in attendance.

The ToyoPets teams from Toyota Motor Corporation recently took over Pet Packout! The team unpacked over 3,000 lbs of dog food, helped prep 60 Pet food routes, and broke down 600 lbs of cat food. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to our Pet Program and the pets we serve! ToyoPets is a unique group of pet lovers from Toyota that participates in pet-focused volunteer opportunities. Say hello to the first set of campers of the VNA Meals on Wheels Kids Camp! The kids spent the day serving seniors by delivering meals, learning about how to combat loneliness and the importance of good nutrition. The campers topped off the day with a tour of VNA's commercial kitchen and they made their own snack plate full of fruits and vegetables!
