Updates

  • Today marks our first day with a new name! ☀🎉🐾💜 We changed our name from Hall Health Center to HUSKY HEALTH CENTER to reflect our goal of being here for the Husky student community. The name change has been in the works for a long time, but seeing it on the home page of the The Daily UW in an article by Morgan Bortnick really made it feel real! Thank you Ava Mallari, MBA, MHA and Joel Schwartzkopf, DPAS, MBA, FACHE for speaking to this exciting update! 📰(Article: https://lnkd.in/g2788sZF) The name Husky Health Center highlights our role in the Division of Student Life and our association with UW Medicine. Our building will remain the "David C. Hall Building," in celebration of the Olympian, coach, WWI veteran, and physician for whom the original clinic was named. As a primary health resource for University of Washington Seattle students, you can rest assured that students will receive the same quality care and resources at Husky Health Center that they’ve grown to love at Hall Health Center. Questions about insurance? Services? Getting started? We look forward to answering them! Call 206-685-1011 or email uwhhc@uw.edu to get started today. #huskyhealthcenter

  • We are thrilled to announce that effective July 1st, the Hall Health Center clinic will become the Husky Health Center! 🎉 💜Why Husky Health Center? We are here for the Husky community. This change highlights our identity as a unit within the Division of Student Life and association with UW Medicine. It also brings clarity to our mission, strengthens awareness around our connection to the University of Washington community, and honors the legacy of Olympian, coach, WWI veteran, and long-time UW physician David C. Hall. (An added bonus is that we also won’t have to change acronyms!) The building itself will still be referred to as the “David C. Hall Building,” but all student health services will be branded as the “Husky Health Center.” 💜What can you expect from the new Husky Health Center? As a primary health resource for University of Washington Seattle students, you can rest assured that students will receive the same quality care and resources at Husky Health Center that you’ve grown to love at Hall Health Center. That includes: 🏥 Primary Care, including same-day services for when you’re sick or injured and need to be seen in a hurry! 📞Nurse advice by phone or in-person with an appointment (students only) ✈ Specialty care, including the OB/GYN Clinic, Travel Medicine, and Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine ⚕ Immunizations 🔬Lab and Radiology 💊Rubenstein Pharmacy for over the counter and prescription pick-up Questions about insurance?
