Innovation is at the forefront of our mission. We look forward to continuing to elevate student entrepreneurs and their startups through USTAAR.
🌟 Exciting Times Ahead at USTAAR! 🌟 USTAAR had a successful kickoff event at the University of Miami McArthur College of Engineering. At our recent event, the talented teams had the opportunity to network with a host of prospective mentors eager to help their startups flourish. The mentors also received a tour of the College of Engineering’s new “Maker space” and “Machine shop.” It was an inspiring day filled with forming new connections and engaging conversations surrounding thought-provoking ideas. We also had the pleasure of hearing from the directors of our wonderful USTAAR team, Angel I. Alvarez, Suhrud Rajguru, Darien K. Smith, Esq., Ilmar Tamames, PhD, and Leandro Finol, whose guidance and vision will steer these startups toward success. Special thanks to The Venture Mentoring Team! Here's to driving innovation and turning dreams into reality! #UniversityofMiami #Innovation #Entrepreneurship #USTAAR

Last week, the University of Miami hosted a National Science Foundation (NSF) project meeting led by University of South Florida, bringing together researchers from institutions across the country. 📍During a visit to the mangroves in Virginia Key, Professors Landolf Rhode-Barbarigos and @Rafael Araujo explained the critical interactions between natural, human-built, and social systems in coastal areas as well as future experiments in the SUSTAIN flume. Witnessing these ecosystems up close highlights the importance of our research in creating sustainable coastal communities.
