On June 13th, ACE Hardware employees volunteered their time to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland for our bi-weekly Food Farmacy. Together, we assembled roughly 300 bags of groceries that were distributed to over 100 families – all free of charge. ACE Hardware has been a long standing partner of the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, raising critical funds for patients and families for over 30 years! Today marks the beginning of National Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness Month. Join us as we raise awareness with a story of strength and resilience of a young boy impacted by a skull abnormality. Our care teams have the ability to serve patients like this and we could not be more thankful for the support that makes it possible.

On May 19th, our patient ambassadors teamed up with the San Francisco Giants for an unforgettable day at Oracle Park. Thanks to the generosity of Bank of America and ambassador mom, Lokelani Montero, nine patients were able to step onto the field before the game to meet players, receive autographs, and be featured on the jumbotron!
Over 40 local Walmart representatives visited UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland to kick off their annual summer round-up campaign. The event featured a tour of the hospital, a Food Farmacy volunteer opportunity, and a presentation highlighting the impact of Walmart’s partnership. Make sure to stop by your local Walmart now through July 7th to support UCSF kids!

On Saturday, June 8th, over 150 families gathered for the Rehab Graduate Reunion at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals. The event was a resounding success, bringing together rehab graduates and their families for a day filled with celebration, therapeutic activities, and community building. Highlights included dance movement therapy, horticultural therapy, and group drumming sessions, all aimed at promoting physical and emotional well-being. Attendees also had the opportunity to engage with various vendor booths that provided valuable resources and support. Heartfelt speeches celebrated the graduates' achievements, emphasizing the importance of community and ongoing support. A special thank you goes to ATI Restoration, LLC and Bay Area Credit Unions for their support of UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals, making events like this possible. We look forward to future reunions and continued community support to celebrate more success stories.
When 15-year-old Marcos Ornellas broke his neck surfing, spine surgeons at BCH Oakland were able to save him from paralysis. With physical therapy, he was able to walk again.
