What a week we’ve had at the Spaceport America Cup! The experience was unlike any other, having to brave the unpredictable weather and uncertain conditions for the rocket launch. Nonetheless, our Solids team was ready and excited to take on whatever came. In the end, we had a successful launch and recovery! Congratulations to all of our team members who put in so much hard work, effort, and time this past school year for this great achievement. During our Week 4 General Meeting, SWE UCI members had the opportunity to delve into the world of the UCI Rocket Project - Solids team during an exciting info-session. The team presented their work on complex rocket design and propulsion systems. The panel of team members shared their experiences, offering valuable insights into the team's projects, how the subteams worked, and the skills they have developed. The event also included an open networking session, allowing attendees to interact with team members and learn more about the UCI Rocket Project Solids team. A big thank you to the UCI Rocket Project Solids team for sharing their knowledge and experiences with us. Special thanks to SWE Academic Chair, Scholastic Lead - Samantha Sudjarwadi for their help in organizing this event.

Immerse. Invent. Ignite. The UCI Rocket Project - Solids Team established itself in the Spring quarter of 2022 as an undergraduate-student engineering project dedicated to designing, building, testing, and competing with solid propellant rockets. With 20-30 students per quarter, our passionate rocket project members challenge ourselves in national inter-collegiate competitive rocketry. This June, our team will be participating in multiple categories of the Spaceport America Cup held in New Mexico, and we ask for your help in supporting us.
