"Necessity is the mother of invention"
Plato's words resonate with us all, especially when it comes to safety. A few years ago, I was a serial entrepreneur building my third start-up (not security focused) while also moving into a new home in Chicago. And like any homeowner, I wanted to ensure the safety of my family. I invested in a brand name residential security system that promised to have all the bells and whistles including cameras, motion, door/window, shock, glass breaks, sound, mobile app, video feeds. You name it, I bought it. But when I needed it the most, the system failed me. False alarms and a lack of situational awareness left me and my family vulnerable. That's when I realized the "necessity" of Ubiety Technologies, Inc. invention. Ubiety is transforming the industry by enabling presence detection and identification of who's in the home with our industry partners. It's time for the industry to work together to deliver a situationally aware system to everyone involved. Due to staffing constraints and crime levels, cities around the country are no longer able to respond to every alarm in homes, unless they are verified. The industry has to have an automated and scalable (READ: available to all customers) solution. Let's make safety a top priority. Ubiety's capabilities have the opportunity to move the market in a way only seen recently by Ring and the video doorbell innovation. #innovateordie
