Today is #Juneteenth, a celebration and reminder of the official end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth was declared a federal holiday in 2021 to reflect on the history of slavery in the U.S., rejoice in the progress our country has made and to advocate for continued meaningful change. As part of HCA Healthcare , we remain committed to creating healthier, more equitable tomorrows for our patients, colleagues and communities.

Taking the opportunity to spotlight our colleagues and what they do for the communities we serve is an honor and we are proud to feature Darby Browning, a nurse extern in the emergency room, Recently, Darby was a guest speaker for Alicia Morris’ Health Science class at Springfield High School. She educated the students on the roles, responsibilities, and all thing related to the patient care technician role. She demonstrated how to do an EKG and discussed going to nursing school. The teacher shared that it’s always a great experience for students to have different people from various healthcare careers come into the classroom and talk about what they do. Darby is also a fellow SHS alumni and was a Health Science class alumni, too. 🚑It's EMS Week!🚑 May 19-25, 2024, marks the 50th anniversary of National EMS Week. TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center would like to honor all our EMS professions and thank you for protecting the safety and health of our citizens. Robertson County's EMS professionals serve in a broad range of roles, from providing highly skilled care in an ambulance, to serving as educators, to practicing community paramedicine, to conducting research. These outstanding individuals are dedicated to improving emergency medical services, and we are grateful for your unwavering dedication and hard work in saving lives every day. During this week, we recognized these EMS professionals with gifts, snacks, and a lunch. HCA Healthcare invests in the development of our leaders, and we are proud that Rheanne Stone, our Stroke Coordinator, was able to take advantage of one of the leadership development programs. Leadership Essentials is an interactive, in-role development virtual program for HCA Healthcare Managers and Supervisors. The goal of the six-month program is to equip managers and supervisors to effectively execute strategy, drive operational excellence and effectively lead others while providing an exceptional care experience.
