Wendy Free, Director of Physician & Provider Relations at TriStar Southern Hills, recently "walked a mile" with our Cath Lab team. This program allows leaders to shadow various departments and learn more about what they do each day. It's also a valuable bonding experience to get to know our colleagues better. Wendy recalled, "I had such a great time working with the Cath Lab team. Not only are they an incredibly talented team, they were so much fun to be around! I learned so much, and I was so impressed with their patient care. Can't wait to go back!" 💙

Meet Nicole, clinic manager at Family Practice Associates of Southern Hills. CEO Nick walked over to their building, right next to our main hospital, and spoke with her and Dr. Brust. Dr. Brust said, "Nicole has been at our practice for about 10 years. She started off as an x-ray tech, and then grew her skillset and embraced being a leader. What I appreciate about Nicole is that if there’s a need, she’ll jump in and do it. You don’t have to tell her. She’ll tell us, ‘I’ve got your back.’” Thank you, Nicole, for always showing up for our patients, colleagues, and community!

Today, we're shining the spotlight on Michele Brown, PBX Supervisor! She truly is the voice of TriStar Southern Hills and manages various important communications and alerts for the hospital. We spent time refilling linen throughout the facility, ensuring that we have appropriate linen for both patient comfort and infection prevention. I appreciate Lashonda’s dedication to our patients and colleagues, as well as her strong attention to detail throughout the hospital. Today is #Juneteenth, a celebration and reminder of the official end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth was declared a federal holiday in 2021 to reflect on the history of slavery in the U.S., rejoice in the progress our country has made and to advocate for continued meaningful change. June is Wound Care Month, and we're celebrating our incredible wound care team at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center's Advanced Wound and Vascular Center. These colleagues treat chronic and nonhealing wounds with advanced treatments like hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) to help speed the healing. CEO Nick asked the program's director, Shelley Hix, about what she enjoys about her role at TriStar Southern Hills. "I love the community atmosphere and the culture at Southern Hills. Our facility feels like home. We're family here."
