Culture is power. It’s everywhere, from the media we consume to the clothes we wear. It has the power to inspire others and make world-changing impact. So why aren’t more changemakers at its center?
When it comes to "wellbeing" trends, there's plenty to debunk. What I have learned in leading The Elevate Prize Foundation team is that investing in our collective mental health and mindfulness has fueled some of our best thinking and helped us connect more deeply. In short, it's made us a better team. I had the honor of writing a piece for the Center for Effective Philanthropy on our investment in the "Whole Leader." It was a pleasure to share our philosophy when it comes to 'self care' being essential for 'community care.' I hope you'll give it a read and would love to hear what practices you've found to be transformative for your teams and organizations. #socialimpact #leadership #selfcare Read the blog here:

Two years ago, CEP released a research report asking foundation and nonprofit leaders how pressing they view the issue of climate change, what they are doing to address the issue, and how it fits within the scope of their organizations' mission. Two years on, amidst record-breaking heat waves and other climate impacts, we revisit the report: https://lnkd.in/etEk7BUS Coming up, look for perspectives on the CEP blog exploring where we are now when it comes to philanthropy and climate change. #nonprofits #philanthropy #funders #leaders #climatechange #research #report

Are funders continuing shifts in grantmaking practice to reduce burden on grantee organizations, as many pledged to do in 2020?
