We are excited to be teaming up with The Town of Yorktown to offer this FREE summer class! 🌞 Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:00a-10:00a at the Civic Green. The class runs from the first week of June to the last week of July; skipping the week of July 1-6 due to the holiday. FREE Forever Fit is designed to improve wellness for suggested ages 55+, emphasizing extending life, preserving independence, and optimizing well-being. Arsenal Fitness provides all materials and supplies necessary for this two-times-a-week class, and you can simply show up with an interest in moving yourself along the wellness spectrum. Remember, you don’t need to be a performance-level athlete to enjoy and benefit from the Forever Fit program. Please feel free to observe a class if you are unsure if you are capable of participating. We welcome everyone, regardless of their fitness level. The Arsenal Fitness Longevity class at Morrison Woods today was awesome! 💪🏽 Our purpose and goal of our Longevity class is to; extend life, preserve independence, and optimize well-being. This class is geared at those aged 55 and up! In our class today we focused on fall prevention and simple ways to decrease your chances of a fall. The first was to increase hand eye coordination and the second was increasing hip range of motion and strength. “Continued muscle loss and inactivity literally puts our lives at risk. Seniors with the least muscle mass are at the greatest risk of dying from all causes.” (Peter Attia, Outlive) “Having more muscle mass leads to decreased risk of falling, which is by far the leading cause of accidental death in those 65 and older.” (Peter Attia, Outlive) If you are interested in learning more about how we can help you or someone you love, shoot us a message!
