A Partnership for a Healthy Bay
About us
The mission of the Tampa Bay Estuary Program is to build partnerships to restore and protect Tampa Bay through implementation of a scientifically sound, community-based management plan. The Tampa Bay Estuary Program was created by Congress in 1991 to assist the community in restoring and protecting Florida's largest open-water estuary. As a designated "estuary of national significance," Tampa Bay is the economic and environmental centerpiece of a rapidly growing region supporting more than 3 million people.

Technical assistance is required for the following tasks: 1) Evaluate Existing Management Paradigm and Propose Alternatives; 2) Evaluate Eutrophication Indicator Targets, Thresholds, and Numeric Nutrient Criteria and Propose Adjustments; 3) Management Intervention Assessment and Recommendations; 4) Re-Evaluate Existing Nitrogen Allocations in Old Tampa Bay. Up to $320,000 may be made available to support this work. The anticipated project duration is 12 months. Questions are due by September 18 and there will be a Q&A webinar on September 22.
