With maternal mortality rates and staffing shortages on the rise, so is the need to better support prenatal and postpartum patients. One area that is often overlooked yet causes extreme stress and anxiety for families is baby feeding. Enter SimpliFed: A one-of-its kind, virtual maternal platform for lactation and baby feeding support. At SimpliFed we encourage patients to engage with us early and often, in most cases starting at 28 weeks. By offering 6 or more virtual 1:1 appointments with our providers as well as 24/7 access to our care navigators or “allies” for ongoing support, each family is delivered a tailored care package based on their needs. And it’s because of the emphasis on quality care, that we’ve seen impressive results: -97% of our parents say they feel less stressed after meeting with our providers -87% of our patients feed with breastmilk for at least 3 months (national average is 69%) -2.6% ER utilization rate (national average is 7.6%) -96% patient satisfaction score (NPS) for our providers -2% appointment no show rate Want to see how we do it? https://lnkd.in/gHG5CzUE

SimpliFed is proud to announce we are now a member of the V1C Coalition by DiMe! This coalition brings virtual-first leaders together to accelerate innovation and implement high-quality evidence-based solutions. And we couldn’t be more excited. It is our mission at SimpliFed to transform the women’s health space, bringing ease of use and access to families everywhere, especially when they need it the most. We see moms and babies thriving every day because our providers were with them the whole time–even at night, in the comfort of their own home, during a sleep regression, with a baby who wouldn’t stop crying. Healthcare should be delivered right to the patient, not the other way around. As a new member, we are excited to learn alongside other leaders, to share crucial resources and change the state of healthcare in America. To learn more about the V1C coalition by DiMe we encourage you to give them a follow: https://lnkd.in/gEy5KYuR #healthcareleaders #womenshealth #healthinnovation

Ever wonder how SimpliFed works with health systems? By seamlessly layering into a workflow, our team of providers becomes an extension of a care team benefiting patients and providers alike. Not replacing the need for essential in-person appointments, but in fact helping adoption rates of them by meeting families exactly where they're at. Read the article below on why teams work with us. https://lnkd.in/gTVG-ip4

Whether or not maternal death rates are actually on the rise has recently been debated. The CDC reported in 2022 the ratio was 22 deaths per 100,000 births-- a number that had been rising since 2003. As stated in this latest article published by VOX, some believe the introduction of a ‘check box’ indicating whether or not the deceased was pregnant at their time of death could be inflating those numbers. Others say arguing against the CDCs reporting of maternal death rates could actually hurt all the advances we’ve made in calling out women's health inequities (especially black women whose rate of death nearly doubles their counterparts). But what both sides agree on is pretty clear: Whether or not a comorbidity was brought on by pregnancy or exacerbated because of pregnancy, we still NEED TO KNOW. And that better, more monitored care during pregnancy and postpartum will only lower death rates. At SimpliFed we wonder why we have two sides to this argument at all. Let’s care for these families at all costs. https://lnkd.in/gQVcjH8f
