Today, LinkedIn reminded me of the birthday of a remarkable individual, John Davenport Just a few days ago, we tragically lost him, making this reminder especially poignant. I first met John in 2018 when he served as the P-ARBP/ADB Project Team Leader for Sheladia Associates, Inc. in Afghanistan, where I was the Project Director. John’s presence was a constant source of kindness, support, calmness, and skill. His ability to lead with grace and expertise made a lasting impression on everyone he worked with. Even after I left that position, John and I continued to stay in touch. He was always quick to respond to my messages, reflecting his unwavering commitment to maintaining connections and offering support. My deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends during this difficult time. We remember John with fondness and gratitude for all the wonderful memories and the positive impact he had on our lives. May his soul rest in peace.
