One of the goals of our camps and extracurricular programs is to provide access to first experiences and activities our kiddos may not have the luxury of doing as often as their peers. Our campers went to the movies last week, many of them for the very first time. One Pre-K friend was particularly thrilled about his "robot chair" and was pumped that it even had a cup holder! On the way out, another student told their teacher that the day was "10 out of 10, would definitely recommend!"

With your help, we provided 14,962 instances of transportation last year. As the only school in Oklahoma designed for kids experiencing homelessness, the first days of school can set the stage for the entire year with our students. We ensure each child starts on the right track by providing everything they need to succeed. We rely on the community to make it happen and would love for you to help support our families. Summer is a time for exploration, laughter, and fun for children everywhere. It's a season of possibility, where imaginations run wild and friendships are forged. But for many kids, summer means long days unsupervised and isolation from social activities. It also means increased stress for parents trying to make ends meet. For families experiencing homelessness, the joy and learning that summer can bring are often just out of reach. That's why this week, we welcomed current and former students to summer camp at no cost to parents. Kids get to experience all the magic of summer, and families can continue pursuing housing and employment goals while knowing their children are in a secure and engaging space. Congratulations to 5th grader, Aiden! Back in February, our friends from the National Association of Women in Construction sponsored the Block Kids competition at our school. Block Kids is a building competition introducing children to construction. Students have an hour to build a structure out of Legos, string, a rock, and foil. Aiden was our school’s 1st place winner and advanced to the regional competition and WON! 🏆 His creation will go on to the national program. Thank you to our local NAWIC Oklahoma City #383 for sponsoring this event and hosting a pizza party for Aiden's class to celebrate.

Thank you, Miss Oklahoma, Sunny Day for hosting a motivational assembly for our kids this morning. Your tenacity inspires us. On the way into the gym one of our Pre-K friends exclaimed, "I'm off to see a princess!"
