On Thursday, the US Army’s Improved Turbine Engine Program delivered two General Electric Aerospace T901-GE-900 flight test engines for the UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter. This milestone is a critical step in the Army’s effort to replace the GE T700 engine currently used on all UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters. He succeeded CW5 John Ulmer who served in the position since December 2022 and retired following 23 years of service. Craig joins PEO Aviation after serving as the Brigade Aviation Maintenance Officer for the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, Ft, Campbell, Ky.

COL Burr Miller relinquished responsibility as the Project Manager of the Aviation Mission Systems and Architecture Project Office to James Bamburg during a ceremony held Tuesday at Bob Jones Auditorium. Miller, who served in the role since September 2021, leaves for his next assignment at Army Contracting Command. During the ceremony Miller received the Legion of Merit award from BG David Phillips, Program Executive Officer for Aviation, for his leadership and service as the outgoing PM. Bamburg has held many positions throughout his military and civilian career at PEO Aviation. His return as the new AMSA PM follows graduation from the Defense Acquisition University's Senior Service College Fellowship Program.

COL Danielle Medaglia, project manager for Uncrewed Aircraft Systems, recently spoke with AUVSI — Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International on the Army's UAS portfolio. "Requirements are coming to us very quickly, and we’re working with industry partners to see what is available now to put into the hands of soldiers and to integrate and iterate as quickly as possible.
