***Attention, Attention*** Last week, the New Orleans Saints Youth Football Department surprised the De La Salle Cavaliers, the champions of our Inaugural Saints High School Girls' FLAG Football season, with a visit to our practice facility. The team thought they were coming for a season recap, but they were surprised with a special unboxing day of new uniforms to celebrate their championship. However, the real reason for their visit was to announce that Nike has invited them to play in the 2024 Kick-Off Classic at Nike's Headquarters in Beaverton, OR. The Cavaliers will be traveling in late August to compete against the South Anchorage High School Wolverines from Alaska. Best of luck to the Cavaliers for an unforgettable trip... The New Orleans Saints Youth Football Team traveled to East Baton Rouge Parish to conduct a Youth Positional Clinic at Bayou Manchac Park for football players with the LA Wolves Organization. Players participated in a quick warm-up that included static/dynamic stretches and agility stations. Following this, they had the opportunity to develop their offensive and defensive positional skills. The Saints Krewe Cheer visited to take pictures and cheer on each player. We want to thank the LA Wolves for inviting us and wish good luck to each of these players as they continue to develop throughout the year. #growthegame #youthfootball #development #football #nfl

The next stop on the "New Orleans Saints High School Off-Season Workout" series was in Foley, AL at Foley High School, home of the Lions. The team was thrilled to see the Saints Youth Football Development team travel from New Orleans for a morning workout session. The players went through various static and dynamic stretches before moving on to agility stations and being tested on their 40-Yard Dash and Pro Shuttle. After completing the measurable tests, the players split into position groups where they could display their skills/timing through a tailored positional drill. It's still early in the off-season, but the Lions are aiming for success this fall. During Drew Brees' induction announcement into the Saints Hall of Fame, he made a special mention of "Red," the dedicated fan whose family he has watched grow from the stands over the years. Lester shared his joy: "Out of 72,000 fans, he's talking about me. It's put me on Cloud 9 knowing he's been watching us grow as a family tradition." Brees recalled, "From 2006-2020, Red's family grew before our eyes in the stands. It’s like watching a board game unfold." New Orleans Saints legend Drew Brees has been inducted into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame class of 2024. Brees led the Saints to seven NFC South Division titles, including four straight from 2017-20. In 15 seasons with New Orleans, he threw for 68,010 yards and 491 touchdowns while completing 68.8 percent of his passes. Congratulations, Drew!
