The New Entry Sustainable Farming Project’s (New Entry) mission is to improve our local and regional food systems by training the next generation of farmers to produce food that is sustainable, nutritious, and culturally-appropriate and making this food accessible to individuals regardless of age, mobility, ethnicity, or socio-economic status. In doing this work, we provide critical training, career development, and economic opportunity to new farmers.

New Entry is looking for a Food Hub Co-Manager- we are excited to be expanding our food access and institutional work, so if you would like to be part of a great team that gets to support livelihoods of small farmers and increase nutrition security of communities, this is the job for you! We are looking for a Food Hub Driver as well. Join us and please spread the word. What You'll Do: These are on-site positions based at New Entry’s Beverly, MA, Moraine Farm. The Food Hub provides market readiness training and technical assistance to new and beginning farmers who are the main suppliers of the Food Hub. The Food Hub distributes fresh, locally grown produce to over a dozen distribution points around the greater Boston area through a CSA program, a low-income food access program, a mobile market, value-added food production, and sales to schools and institutions. The Food Hub Co-Manager will co-manage all activities associated with a multi-farmer Food Hub, including: - Marketing, sales, and business development for the Food Hub; - Managing warehouse produce operations and distribution logistics and supervising staff (delivery driver, interns, volunteers); - Grants and financial management (proposal writing, grant management and reporting, budget development and tracking, program evaluation); - Serving as an extension of New Entry’s Farmer Training Program to lead the Food Hub in maintaining an excellent reputation for high quality, locally grown products, professional customer service, and consumer engagement in the local food system. 🌱Excited to share that I joined New Entry Sustainable Agriculture 3 weeks ago as a Data Analysis and Training intern! I am incredibly delighted to spend my summer break analyzing workshop evaluation surveys to create compelling visuals and summaries and assess programs' overall effectiveness. As well as developing innovative surveys and strategies to boost farmer participation and crafting user-friendly financial templates in Google Sheets based on partner documents. As part of my role, I contribute to the launch of a grant by defining work plans, organizing workshops, and developing essential materials. Engaging with volunteers, supporting communication strategies, and participating in outreach activities have all been enriching experiences so far. I am thrilled to contribute to New Entry’s mission of supporting sustainable agriculture and empowering farmers.
