“I didn’t initially comprehend how impactful my work with NEA would be. I live with eczema and I know how desperate the search for hope feels during a flare. In my role as social media manager, I interact directly with the eczema community, answering questions and introducing resources to help people learn about their condition and connect with others who have it. Every day I witness how NEA acts as a beacon of hope for the eczema community. I’m proud that our work actively helps improve lives.”

Community
We’re here to serve and support the eczema community. We are the voice, the resource and the hub for the more than 31 million Americans and their families who are living with eczema. NEA is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. We are the driving force for an eczema community fueled by knowledge, strengthened through collective action and propelled by the promise for a better future. NEA offers educational resources, support and community connection for people with eczema and their caregivers.

Eczema is a serious inflammatory disease that has a significant impact on the lives of the people living with it. NEA works to raise awareness with lawmakers about the realities of life with eczema. NEA's policy priorities reflect our work to control health insurance cost-cutting measures that interfere with a patient's ability to make the best choices about your health. These barriers include step therapy, prior authorization and non-medical switching.
Learn more about our advocacy workResearch
NEA has been funding peer-reviewed research since 2004 as the largest private nonprofit source of eczema research support. We provide emerging and established scientific investigators with highly-sought-after grants to explore new, high-impact avenues in adult and pediatric eczema research. Ideally, all awards will generate data that can support a much larger grant proposal. In addition, we conduct our own research to directly address gaps in the understanding of the lived experience of eczema.
