Eczema Outreach Support

Last month EOS said goodbye to the wonderful Sandra Lawton OBE Queen's Nurse. Sandra joined Eczema Outreach Support as our Project Lead in June 2023 to lead on the dissemination of our eczema care plans across the UK, funded by the VTCT Foundation. For anyone that knows Sandra, they will also know that she not only delivered a successful project but she brought so much to our team. She generously shared her extensive knowledge and experience across the organisation helping us to improve our support to families and took on every challenge with determination and positivity. We will miss her as Project Lead enormously but are delighted to share that she'll stay part of the team as Volunteer Ambassador. Thank you to everything you've done Sandra and here's to the next chapter.

Today is World Eczema Day 2023 focused on raising awareness of the reality of living with #eczema and that it's so much more than "a bit of itchy skin". As a mum to a little boy with eczema, their words resonated with me very much. Managing eczema can be so very hard and as parents and carers, we're all just trying our best.
