NASSCO pride was on full display last weekend as the shipyard played host to employees, their spouses, children, grandchildren and others during a memorable Family Day occasion. 👨👩👧👦 Over 6,000 people passed through the gates as employees were able to showcase what we do day in and day out... Building some of the finest ships that sail the oceans. For us, it's second nature, but for our families it was a behind the scenes glimpse of the remarkable work we do for our country. #NASSCOFamilyDay

What better way to celebrate Flag Day on a sunny San Diego Friday than by commemorating the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as the official flag of the United States. #FlagDay #FridayViews #NASSCO

What better way to conclude National Military Appreciation Month and Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, as we celebrate the docking of the USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93) – successfully executed by #NASSCO's Repair and Waterfront Services team. 👏 The ship is currently undergoing SEWIP modernizations. #Repair #USNavy #NationalMilitaryAppreciationMonth #AsianAmericanAndPacificIslanderHeritageMonth

In celebration of #AsianAmericanAndPacificIslanderHeritageMonth, we honor Rear Admiral Gordon Chung-Hoon, the namesake of (DDG 93) currently undergoing maintenance and repairs in the #NASSCO floating dry dock. Rear Admiral Chung-Hoon was a distinguished U.S. Navy officer who served in World War II and became the first Asian American flag officer. He was awarded the Navy Cross and Silver Star for his extraordinary bravery heroism as the commanding officer of the USS Sigsbee from May 1944 to October 1945. 🌟 #AAPIHeritageMonth

The brand new #NASSCO Electric Semi-Truck is here... and it's beautiful! Thanks to a grant awarded by the San Diego Air Pollution Control District (APCD), NASSCO will be able to transport equipment to and from other facilities around the county at the benefit of zero tailpipe emissions. 💨 This is just one step of many, as NASSCO is awaiting the delivery of three electric buses (Bluebird) that will also operate with zero tailpipe exhaust emissions within our portside community. #ReducingAirPollution

This morning, NASSCO was thrilled to take part in San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) Bike Anywhere Day 🚲 , as we were one of many pit stop locations throughout the county supporting our biking community. It was inspiring to see so many participants embracing sustainable transportation and enjoying the ride. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and made the event a success! #Environmental #BikeAnywhereDay

Today, General Dynamics #NASSCO has delivered the USNS Earl Warren (T-AO 207), the third ship in the U.S. Navy's John Lewis-class fleet oiler program. The delivery symbolizes an immense culmination of efforts made by the hard-working men and women of the NASSCO/Navy shipbuilding team. 💪 #Shipbuilders
