Katrina Smart spoke this week at MAD//FEST London with Josh Clarkson, Mars Wrigley's Global Retail Media Lead, about the importance of organisational structure in employing retail media effectively. “To achieve success, retail media needs to be fully integrated, and you can only get this through true alignment with your other teams and media channels,” Smart said. She went on to ask, “If retail media is part of your commercial agreements and JBPs, have you upskilled your teams and armed them with ammo?” And lastly, “How well do you know your retailers and their retail media networks?” A key factor in navigating the retail media landscape is ensuring that you have continuous awareness of how your network partners and competitors are evolving their capabilities. Our intern team has been hard at work this summer, developing a marketing campaign based on a real client need. And we're excited to introduce two of those hardworking interns on the Creative team, Eleanor Snee and Naomi Oshima! When asked about the goals they've set for the summer, here's what they had to say: “I’m looking forward to working with Naomi, our graphic design intern, and learning more about the collaboration process between designers and copywriters," said Eleanor Snee, a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota. Naomi Oshima, a current senior at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, wants "to improve upon my skills in creating visually compelling content while also gaining valuable insight into the strategic aspects of design." Previous work done by the interns has been a source of inspiration for client programs that have reached the marketplace.
