We're firm believers in creating great work by equipping Martians with all the resources needed to be great at what they do. That's why our partnership with NextUp came naturally. This fantastic organization strives to create workplace equity and advance all women in business through in-person and virtual conferences and training. Alyssa Whiteside, Anna Buonomo, and Gabrielle Williamson, MBA recently attended the NextUp Rising Stars conference in Austin, Texas. This was a great experience for three of our own rising stars to better understand and learn how to leverage their individual leadership styles. "I had a fantastic time networking with other professionals in the CPG industry and discovering new ways to elevate my leadership skills," said Alyssa, Director of Customer Development. We're thrilled to continue our partnership with NextUp and cultivate ways for our Martians to #BeWorthFollowing!

As we continue to celebrate Women in History Month we love sharing about our own Women of Woodside! Abbie Mirata, Vice President of Learning and Development spoke last month at the NAHB International Builders' Show in Las Vegas with the Professional Women in Building organization. Abbie led a thought leadership session focused on Leadership Consumption vs. Leadership Development where she shared her insights about the following: - 5 tips on how to decrease consumption and increase impact while creating ROI on leadership development investments and initiatives. - Insights into mindset and accountability within our learning and leadership journey. - Recommendations on boosting retention with a leader's team by implementing better ways to design learning opportunities in meetings. Two meaningful takeaways from her own experience at the show were, "Your culture is your human software." and "If you don't have engagement, you won't have performance". NAHB is helping to showcase the importance of people and culture in our industry as a strategic advantage. Here at Woodside Homes, Abbie is doing an incredible job bringing her insights, passion, and love of learning in support of our vision to be a sustainable, unwavering force for good in people's lives! #womeninconstructionweek #womenhistorymonth

Stakeholder Management • Executive Communications • Board Relations • Event Planning • Strategic Partnerships
One of the highlights of my week: Moderating a discussion about how companies can ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion are incorporated into their overall business strategies in the upcoming year for FiscalNote's DEI Board. Many thanks to Ashley Watson and Jim Chan for sharing your actionable ideas and best practices and for reminding us what helps DEI initiatives succeed: accountability, transparency, activating your internal and external stakeholders through a collective sense of ownership, and staying true to your company's values. I also appreciate your point about how "DEI is a marathon," where you're not constantly reacting and starting over but rather strategically building upon what you already know is working, committing to data assessment and good internal communication along the way. This mindset is incredibly important as organizations determine where they want to take DEI in the year ahead. #DEI #thoughtleadership #2024planning

This program came about when our executive classes routinely told us "I wish I had gotten into Momentum in my 20's or 30's, it would have made all the difference!" So we created Upward. Now completing our 5th year, I can say it's true. It makes all the difference. Bham Now recently did an article with a story from one woman from each year of Upward to date. They are not unique, there are many success stories within each class! https://lnkd.in/g_zTHFpg #careerdevelopment #womenleaders
➡️ Attention all early career women! We're now accepting applications for our Upward Program that leverages Momentum’s expertise and alumnae network to develop the next generation of talented leadership. Applications are accepted through August for our class beginning in February 2024. Each Upward class is divided into two cohorts. The first is for high-potential individual contributors with less than five years of experience, the second is for emerging leaders with approximately five-fifteen years of experience. Learn program details such as sample topics, time commitment, and cost on our website at https://lnkd.in/ddZHmGe.
