  • Last week, Longfellow Real Estate Partners had the privilege to serve as sponsor and host for the CED (Council for Entrepreneurial Development) GRO Incubator Demo Day. Held at Longfellow's Discovery at Perimeter Park Campus in Morrisville, North Carolina, 14 start-up companies spanning the life science and technology sectors presented for the opportunity to attract potential investors and customers. "Longfellow is proud to partner with the Council for Entrepreneurial Development and their mission to support the innovative economy of North Carolina. Our teams share a deep connection to the Triangle and our community's collective advancement toward a better tomorrow. It is fantastic to see the future of life science and technology companies empowered through dedicated programs such as this GRO Incubator Demo Day," said Longfellow Managing Director Greg Capps. “GRO Demo Day is a celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship,” remarked Preet Mankad, Startup Programs Lead at CED. “It takes a community to nurture and support these visionary founders. By attending Demo Day, you’re not only witnessing the future of technology and life sciences but also playing a pivotal role in their journey. Your support can transform their visions into reality.”

  • Longfellow Lifts, our firm’s corporate giving initiative, has been hard at work volunteering with and uplifting the communities that we invest in! In North Carolina, our team spent time baking fresh goods for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Durham, an organization that gives families a safe, supportive place to stay when their child faces difficulties with their health. Our Boston team volunteered at Mother's Milk Bank Northeast, a non-profit, community-supported entity driven by the belief that every baby deserves the chance to thrive, by packing bottles of lifesaving, pasteurized donor milk to support babies in need. In addition to these recent outreach opportunities, each of our offices hosted a Lunch and Learn to provide volunteering opportunities with the Boys and Girls Club of America. We have had a great time volunteering with each of these dedicated organizations to help make a difference and are excited to be one step closer to our commitment of 400 volunteer hours for 2024!

Longfellow Real Estate Partners celebrated the Topping Out Ceremony for the firm’s latest development, Avia Labs at Millbrae Station in the San Francisco Bay Area portfolio. The topping off marks a major milestone for the next phase of the Avia Labs project, a six-story, 315,000 SF campus with state-of-the-art office and lab space. Avia Labs will be one of California's first all-electric life science campuses, designed to LEED Gold and Fitwel certifications with an array of environmentally focused attributes that support its transit-oriented location, which is less than three miles from San Francisco International Airport and steps from the Millbrae Transit Center.   As the development advances to its 2025 delivery date, 39.5K cubic yards of concrete have been placed and 12.8M pounds of rebar installed. Longfellow will finalize Avia Labs' diverse campus amenities such as its fitness center, terrace with mountain views, large conference spaces, and a public café open to the community.   We are excited to see Longfellow’s continued growth throughout the Bay Area region with innovative and dynamic life science companies and institutions. Thank you to our partners, Level 10 Construction and Flad Architects, on the project for your unwavering support and collaborative spirit on this upcoming campus!   For more information on Avia Labs at Millbrae Station, visit: https://avialabs.com/
