    After 20+ years in sports and music, Lineage understands the power of fandom—and nowhere is that power more apparent than at Comic Con. Like sports and music, comic book culture creates die-hard fans. Unlike those fields, no one has disrupted the comic book space in over 80 years. Until now. Last month, our partner Rogue Matter, a story studio focused on highlighting the next generation of disruptors through original creative projects, made an epic splash at LA Comic Con with the debut of the Kane Comic Universe. Written and created by Will Meldman, Kane stars co-creator Brock O’Hurn as the titular hero, an immortal demigod charged with defending humanity against darkness and destruction. Just as O’Hurn’s towering presence brought the story to life for fans, who flocked to the booth to glimpse the illustrated hero in the flesh, the comic’s LA Comic Con debut brought a dream to life for its creators. As Meldman and O’Hurn embraced on stage at the end of the trailer, it represented more than the simple culmination of months of hard work and passion—it was a tribute to the power of fandom to inspire, unite, and make dreams come true for artists and fans alike.     There's more to sports than games. Networks, sponsors, and brands in the sports space are all learning that their audience is changing—fast. Millennials and Gen Zs love sports, but only 45% of fans aged 18-29 watch live sports broadcasts (YouGov). Gen Z fans are the least likely to watch sports on TV, attend a game, or cheer for a favorite team (Morning Consult). But they still want sports content. Globally, 40% of sports fans under 30 want to watch non-live, non-game sports content (Nielsen). In the U.S, almost two-thirds of sports fans under 45 are interested in lifestyle and shoulder programming, including 72% of Gen Z and Millennial men (Tubi/Fox). According to ESPN’s Mike Foss, “Gen Z's shift from traditional methods of consumption is not a pivot away from sports.” We agree: this is a pivot to multi-format, omnichannel sports entertainment. That’s why we started the Lineage Entertainment Company.
