Lindsay recently installed its first TAU-XR Xpress Repair Crash Cushion, the latest innovation in its proven lineup of crash cushion systems. The TAU-XR is designed for swift installation and rapid repair, enhancing both efficiency and protection for road maintenance teams. "At Lindsay, safety is paramount in all our innovations," said Cole Hansen, vice president and general manager of Infrastructure at Lindsay. "The TAU-XR embodies our dedication to enhancing road safety while streamlining maintenance operations. We're proud to offer a solution that has undergone rigorous testing for both asphalt and concrete applications, making the TAU-XR an ideal choice for contractors." The first installation of the MASH-tested TAU-XR on U.S. roadways occurred on Friday, June 14, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the intersection of Highway 91 and Great Basin. Today commemorates Juneteenth, when the announcement of the Emancipation Proclamation reached Galveston, Texas, in 1865. It is also an opportunity to celebrate the way descendents of enslaved Americans have shaped our culture, economy and way of life. Many are unaware that the adoption of Juneteenth as a federal holiday is credited in no small part to Opal Lee, a Texas farmer known as the "Grandmother of Juneteenth." Her farm has officially been recognized as a USDA People's Garden for sharing her bounty with the community and reducing hunger. At the age of 89, Opal set out on foot from her home in Texas en route to Washington D.C. to deliver a petition with over a million signatures in support of the obeservation of Juneteenth as a national holiday. We are thrilled to share a brand new case study about the Route 220 bridge replacement project, in partnership with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT). Route 220 serves as a vital connector between the City of Williamsport, Jersey Shore, and Lock Haven, with an average daily traffic count of approximately 20,000 vehicles. The decision to use the Road Zipper moveable barrier system proved instrumental in addressing the safety and mobility challenges faced by the project, as well as helped reduce construction time and enhance traffic and worker safety.
