Our traditional LEADERSHIP TULSA program is offered twice a year and provides a 360 view of Tulsa, it's history as well as its current opportunities and challenges. Applications due in April and October of each year for programs that start in August and January. Our newest program, THRIVE TULSA, is a deep dive into personal leadership development for people who are passionate about a project, cause, community or want to develop skills working on adaptive challenges we may face in our workplace. Especially seeking those working in under-served communities. NEW VOICES board internship program helps to add diversity to Tulsa area boards by finding individuals from historically under-represented groups with a heart for community service and placing them in board service in partnership with the Tulsa Area United Way. The HISPANIC LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE builds knowledge, skills and connections of emerging Latinx leaders in a way that celebrates their culture and believes in their promise. Presented in partnership with the Tulsa Area Hispanic Chamber. We also offer events, workshops and celebrations of leadership throughout the year for our community.

As a proud alumnus of Leadership Tulsa, it feels really nice to be recognized by the program and have them acknowledge my recent accomplishments. I was extremely fortunate to participate in the inaugural LT Represent cohort as well as the LT360 Class 66 cohort the following year. I believed that I owed it to my community to run a professional campaign and not undervalue or take the support of my constituents for granted. LT Represent was the first program to introduce me to the elements of a professional campaign. It was the program that solidified my desire to serve my community as an elected official. Three years later, here we are!! The application process for the next LT Represent cohort begins July 15th!

Join us as we welcome our 2024-2025 Tulsa Service Year Fellow, Cecilia Nguyen! Cecilia is a Tulsa native, graduating from Union High School in 2019. Afterwards, she attended Tulsa Community College and then went on to the University of Tulsa where she graduated in 2023 with her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and double minored in Education and Early Intervention. During her time at the University of Tulsa, Cecilia was actively involved in leading meaningful multicultural/DEI work on campus and the larger Tulsa community as the president of the Vietnamese Student Association, research assistant at the Study of the Prevention, Adjustment, and Resilience to Trauma and Adversity Lab, and social media manager for Asian, Pacific Islander, Desi-American (APIDA) Tulsa. After graduating, she worked as a research coordinator at the Laureate Institute for Brain Research managing two mental health research projects and organizing events for their DEI Committee. Through her work, Cecilia has developed a passion in enhancing DEI education within large institutions and being a mental health leader for the Vietnamese and wider Asian American community. In her free time, Cecilia enjoys playing guitar, thrifting vintage clothes, attending concerts, and eating food with her friends. She is thrilled to join Leadership Tulsa and make a difference!
