🌟 Leadership Broward: Community Project Opportunities 🌟 APPLY NOW: https://lnkd.in/eTRYkJn3 Calling Nonprofits and Community Agencies! Project Proposals Wanted: Leadership Broward seeks project proposals for Class XLIII (2024-2025). Impactful Collaboration: Join forces with our diverse class of leaders to create positive change. SociallyGood Benefit: Selected nonprofits also benefit from our community event, SociallyGood. Shape Broward’s future—apply now! Community Project Information For Nonprofit Applicants LB Class XLIII 2024-2025 Leadership Broward is now seeking project proposals from Broward County’s community agencies and nonprofit organizations for Leadership Broward Class XLIII. The Leadership Broward program is entering its 43rd year. As we continue to accomplish our mission “to develop and inspire individuals to serve our community,” we will again include the very important Community Project component into Class XLIII’s program curriculum. During the past 42 years, Leadership Broward participants have completed more than 260 community projects. The class is divided into eight groups of six to eight participants who work together over eight months (October 2024-May 2025) on the selected project. A benefit of being a nonprofit selected by the class, beyond the impact of the project, your nonprofit will be a beneficiary of a SociallyGood. SociallyGood is a community event presented by Leadership Broward Foundation and it’s open to everyone. Each month SociallyGood features a nonprofit partner who receives all of the proceeds from all SociallyGood guest fees collected from that evening. All Leadership Broward (LB) class participants must participate on a community project team. The purpose of this project team is to allow them to learn first-hand about an organization that supports the community. Additionally, the project allows LB class members to engage in a process that will result in a quantifiable benefit to both the organization and the community. This benefit would likely not be possible by the organization alone, and its success depends on the combined strengths of the organization and the individual talents and experience of the LB class members. The projects are expected to have some sustainability after the group project has been completed and the LB Class has graduated.

True leaders really shine in the national spotlight. Congratulations to past Leadership Broward Board Chair Kim Vassar of Arc Broward for a fantastic interview on Good Morning America. Thanks to the Florida Panthers and GMA for making Miss Arc Broward Mikayla's day with tickets to the game. She told me she'd bring them a victory and now the Panthers are up 1-0. With super fans like Mikayala, and the rest of South Florida, cheering them on, we have no doubt they'll get it done. GO MIKAYLA AND GO CATS! And special thanks to the team at Arc Broward for all you do to transform the community by providing opportunities for people with disabilities and other life challenges to realize their full potential. https://lnkd.in/eYVW-gvt

Last week, we had the privilege of gaining inspirational and transformative insights at 'Serving Up Leadership' with Caitlin Stella, MPH, CEO of Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. The session was expertly moderated by Whitney J. Dutton, a Leadership Broward Class 36 alumni and the Residential Sales Director at Native Realty. The discussion was rich with practical leadership strategies, such as: Only respond with a suggestion if you have personal experience with the issue. Demand the best from your employees, but do so collaboratively. Sometimes, the craziest ideas yield the greatest results. Giving back to the community is a core value at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. These nuggets of wisdom will empower the leaders in attendance to elevate their teams and organizations. A heartfelt thank you to Memorial Healthcare System for sponsoring this enlightening event and for their commitment to fostering leadership excellence. #LeadershipDevelopment #ServingUpLeadership
