Advancing Quality of Life for All - National Public Works Week West Sammamish River Bridge Replacement - replaced an 82-year-old structurally deficient bridge. This project replaced the existing southbound bridge across the Sammamish River and included the construction of new sidewalk and bike facilities on the west side of the road between NE 170th St and NE 175th St. The West Sammamish River Bridge Replacement Project also included new signals at NE 170th St and NE 175th St, new streetlighting, utility undergrounding and new landscaping. This project consists of the construction of King County’s new RapidRide H-Line, which provided public transportation routes from Burien, White Center, and West Seattle. The H-Line is part of a larger program as an investment in convenience, innovation, reliability and service. It will also provide routes to other bus routes and the Link light rail. Other improvements include upgraded bus stops with new shelters, lighting, and real-time arrival information. Sidewalks, street crossings, and signals improvements around stations for pedestrians, bikes, and those with limited mobility. #iampublicworks #pnw #apwawa #npww #specialinspections #materialtesting

Krazan has supported many public and private entities in addressing homelessness. Here is a project we are particularly proud to be a part of all while providing a full suite of services #environmental #geotechnical #specialinspections Step Up on 99, a $15 million project at 1240 N. Crystal Ave. near Highway 99 and Olive Avenue, a Fresno Housing Authority project. It is the former Motel 99 currently used for transitional housing for the homeless. When completed, Manzanilla Commons will provide 63 units with a mix of studio, 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms. #iampublicworks #AQOLFA #npww

Advancing Quality of Life for All - National Public Works Week Retrofit started in 2022. Repair and renovations at Aquarium will make critical structural repairs and tank restorations in order to extend the life of these exhibits. Exhibits include the Shark Tank and Blue Hole, a Lagoon, and coral tank; along with improvements to skylights, lab, office, and other areas. “Restoring this well-loved aquarium also provides an opportunity to connect the stories of these aquatic animals and their wild homes with our community for years to come,” said Alan Varsik, director of Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, a facility of Metro Parks Tacoma. #iampublicworks #pnw #apwawa #npww #specialinspections #materialtesting

Advancing Quality of Life for All - National Public Works Week  The City of Woodlake is making improvements to its sewer system to enhance the system’s capacity, repair old lines, and support upcoming new housing developments. “It fixes a bunch of old lines, but it is also a brand-new trunk line for a wastewater treatment plant to kind of double their capacity,” City Manager Ramon Lara said to The Sun Gazette. #iampublicworks #AQOLFA #npww #apwa #specialinspections

Kicking off Public Works Week #npww we will start with: The Foothills Trail connecting residents of Enumclaw, Buckley, South Prairie, Orting, and Puyallup is a popular trail known for its scenic views crossing the White River and following the Carbon River upstream. This specific portion is the 572-foot long weathered steel bridge crossing the White River and the current paving and sitework as part of phase C for the trail. Completing the Foothills Trail and White River bridge supports local economic development bringing more visitors to Enumclaw, Buckley and other communities along the trail. #iampublicworks #pnw #apwawa
