Meet INX Expert Vijay Kumar, or "VK" as he is known in the SAKATA INX world. VK has been with SAKATA INX for 27 years and is both the Managing Director of SAKATA INX India and the Chairman of SAKATA INX Bangladesh. In his role, he is responsible for the operation management of SAKATA INX India and Bangladesh. He also provides strategic business direction to the Internal Advisory Board of SAKATA INX. Here is more about VK Seth - 🔹 What’s your background/experience? "I graduated from Punjab University (India) in 1975 as a Chemical Engineer and started my professional life at Synthetic and Chemical Ltd. I later joined Hindustan Insecticides Limited in 1980 in the project management team. In 1986, I joined Montari Industries Ltd, where I was appointed President of the Inks Division, recognizing my contributions to national and international markets, technology, and project identification, and was promoted through various management positions during my 10-year tenure with the company. I took up the Greenfield Project on behalf of SIC Japan and set up various manufacturing facilities. I was appointed Managing Director in 1997, and commercial production began in November 1998." 🔹 What do you enjoy most about your current role? "I enjoy nurturing and mentoring the senior management team." 🔹 What do you like most about working for SAKATA INX? "I enjoy the entrepreneurial environment that encourages and supports initiatives, innovation, and environmental stewardship." 🔹 What are your hobbies? "I like to play golf." 🔹If you’ve traveled abroad, which country did you like the most and why? "Japan because of the tradition, discipline, politeness, and service culture."

Our next location highlight is our plant in Charlotte, North Carolina. This expansive 69,000 sq ft facility, dedicated to manufacturing 2pc metal deco inks for the beverage can industry, has been operational since 2004. It is the largest manufacturing plant for beverage can inks in the Americas and boasts some of our most skilled and dedicated employees. North Carolina is a state with a rich American history. It is home to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the NASCAR Hall of Fame. The state also played a significant role in historical milestones such as the Wright Brothers' first flight at Kitty Hawk and the Civil Rights Movement. Last week the INX team came together and volunteered at Feed My Starving Children an organization dedicated to ending world hunger. Our team worked to pack Manna Meals, a food packet that is an excellent source of protein, carbohydrates, and key nutrients that are shipped worldwide to stop malnutrition.
