Meet INX Expert Katsuya Tanaka. Katsuya has been with SAKATA INX for 30 years and he is the Senior Vice President of Global Business Coordinator, where he is responsible for developing global business for SAKATA INX and INX. Here is more about Katsuya - 🔹 What’s your background/experience? "I joined the company in April 1994 and for five years I was engaged in developing a lamination ink and adhesive for liquid solvent ink at R&D. After that, I was transferred to INX International, in the US at the Appleton, WI plant in 1999 to support customers and develop the solvent-based inks for the US market, using a SAKATA technology. In 2006 I transferred to INX France to do the same technical services until 2013. After April 2013, I joined the SAKATA INX International Operations Department (IOD) to support our global business and group companies. I became a general manager of IOD in October 2019. In January 2024, I received a new assignment to join our US operations at INX International, again as an SVP of Global Business Coordinator, and Executive Officer of SAKATA INX." 🔹 What do you enjoy most about your current role? “I enjoyed my time at the International Operations Department collaborating with teams from our group companies to successfully attain the sales, profit, and sustainability targets outlined in our plan, particularly through the introduction of innovative and strategic products." 🔹 What do you like most about working for INX/SAKATA? “I enjoy traveling to meet customers, delving into their requests, and engaging in discussions on business matters. Through this process, we can identify areas for development and determine how best to assist our customers. This strategic approach not only ensures success in our current business endeavors but also paves the way for future growth and leadership." 🔹 What are your hobbies? “I like playing tennis. I usually play tennis every weekend. I also like jogging. In 2013, I ran at the Paris marathon and I completed the 42.195km in less than four hours." 🔹If you’ve traveled abroad, which country did you like the most and why? “I have a fondness for numerous countries I've had the opportunity to visit, but among them, the United States holds a special place in my heart. The breathtaking natural landscapes and the exceptional quality of beef contribute to its appeal. Taiwan is another favorite of mine, thanks to the warmth of its people and the delightful experience of savoring excellent soup dumplings."

Meet INX Expert Takashi Kimura. Takashi has been with SAKATA INX for thirty-nine years, and he is the Senior Executive Officer and General Manager of the Corporate Planning Division and the General Manager for Southeast Asia. Here is more about Takashi - 🔹 What’s your background/experience? “For 18 years since joining the company, I have been involved with developing sheet-fed ink in offset technology and the R&D department. After that, I was stationed in India and transferred to the International Operations Department. Then, I was stationed in Malaysia and Indonesia and was involved in managing the different subsidiaries. I returned to Japan in 2021.” 🔹 What do you enjoy most about your current role? “By being in charge of the four departments, I have been involved in a wide range of SAKATA INX management, and I am confident that it has been helping me to grow significantly." 🔹 What do you like most about working for INX/SAKATA? “Through my experience working in the International Department and in Asia, I am able to meet people from many group companies and talk about the SAKATA INX Group. That is my life’s asset." 🔹 What are your hobbies? “I don't know if I can call it a hobby, but I like going to restaurants with delicious food and drinks.” 🔹If you’ve traveled abroad, which country did you like the most and why? “I was stationed in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Malaysia for five and a half years, and I often went to Singapore as well. It is still an UNFORGETTABLE memory that I was exposed to three cultures and cuisines: Malay, Chinese, and Indian. Someday, when I have time, I would like to go on a trip there with my wife."
