"Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV," the first streaming show built on Business Insider reporting, just got two Emmy nominations. And in a strange twist of fate, because I am an EP on the show, I am myself an Emmy nominee. WHAT!?! Fortunately, so is Kate Taylor, the brilliant reporter behind the story and star of the TV show. And so is Joel Stonington, our man in LA who put the deal together. Someone who really should be is Dana Schuster, who edited the story – and many others that are on their way to TV adaptation. And wow did we luck out partnering with Mary Robertson and the Maxine team. I am beyond grateful to have gotten the opportunity to work with these people. 1,000 thank yous to each of them! https://lnkd.in/enawTwwj

Congrats to Tasmin Lockwood and Riddhi Kanetkar, who just saw their reporting on European tech startup GoStudent recognized at the Headline Money Awards in London. Their work was highly commended in the B2B Story of the Year category. The judges wrote: “Well done to Business Insider’s Tasmin Lockwood and Riddhi Kanetkar for their piece GoStudent, the $3 billion edtech darling, scaled fast and partied hard . The result was a mess, which earned praise from the judges as a “very thoroughly researched and engagingly written piece shining a spotlight on this company's practices and ethics.” You can read the original story here: https://lnkd.in/e-e3S3xW

My favorite part of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity for the past 3 years has been our video interviews with CMOs and industry names. This year we sat down with 39 marketing leaders and asked them to share their favorite mistakes, concrete examples of AI in action, and how they continue to learn and define the ever-changing CMO role. The roster includes CMOs from brands like State Farm, Unilever, the LEGO Group, Bose Corporation, Reckitt, Intuit Mailchimp, Chime, Mazda North American Operations, the National Football League (NFL) and many more. Our first cuts from the interviews are now available on our CMO Insider home page. Stay tuned for more as we continue to mine the insights from this cohort. Special thanks to our executive producer Will Wei, our fellow Leila Jordan Berger, our video crew Anna Muckerman and Mohamed Ahmed from Riviera Media, and our video editor Nisrine TABKA. Huge thanks to our on-site BI team Christie Clemens and Devin Nadi, our remote events staffer Amanda Corcoran, and our event program director Katrin Wright. https://lnkd.in/ew-ApCW4

Bonjour, France! Last week, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity brought together the advertising and communications industry in the South of France. Team members from Business Insider, EMARKETER, Morning Brew, and colleagues from our Global Advertising, and Global Strategic Partnerships departments were present to network with other companies, learn from each other, and promote creativity. It was a packed schedule throughout the week, featuring major highlights including Tuesday’s CMO Insider Breakfast at Stagwell Sport Beach. This exclusive gathering featured marketing leaders from brands like IBM or Mailchimp. Alongside CEO Mathias Döpfner, President of News Media USA & Deputy CEO Jan Bayer, and Business Insider CEO Barbara Peng, participants discussed how brands can, and should, insert themselves into transformative cultural moments to create authentic connections with consumers. The event has once again highlighted the importance of creative exchanges among international experts across diverse industries. ___ #CannesLions #Advertising #Creativity #BusinessInsider #AxelSpringer Maggie Milnamow Orlando Reece Hannah Diddams Julia Hood Peter Kafka Lara O’Reilly Insider, Inc.
