    Last week, I had the pleasure of traveling to Delaware to pitch as a finalist in the #startup302 pitch competition put on by the Delaware Prosperity Partnership team. To my surprise, I was selected as the winner in the Early Stage category and I am grateful to the entire team for their support! This winter was one of the hardest winters I've ever endured as a founder, and, to come out on the other side of things feels amazing! I am also thrilled that the Inclusion Unpacked business model resonates with so many, and look forward to leveraging these funds for our next phase of growth.   • Hi Everyone! 👋

    Hi there! I’ve been a bit quiet on socials lately while working on building Inclusion Unpacked, but I wanted to introduce myself to those who might not know my background or why I founded Inclusion Unpacked. - Our mission is to empower founders and leaders with the tools and resources necessary to build inclusive cultures from the start. We do this by matching companies with DEI experts and providing tangible diversity and inclusion resources that can be leveraged on-demand. We want to make DEI simple and easy! - Before founding IU, I founded the Global Employee Resource Group: Black Women at Meta and scaled it to 3,000 members globally. That’s where I noticed the need for leaders to be equipped with the tools necessary to lead inclusively. I also went through Y-Combinator in 2015 with Jopwell and learned a ton about DEI as it relates to the recruitment and hiring world. I graduated with a full-ride from Columbia Business School in May of 2023; CBS has been invaluable to my journey. I was awarded the Lang Fund investment, further supporting the growth and development of Inclusion Unpacked. I’ve been featured in Forbes (twice!), WhoWhatWear, The Second Life, Yahoo, Girlboss, Women’s Health, and Bustle Magazine and was awarded emerging DEI leader by Crain’s New York this year. I’m a Kansas Native on a mission to infuse community into the world of DEI.     Before the year ends, I wanted to share our excitement and more information about Inclusion Unpacked 's Beta program we’re launching this January! Companies like Her Workplace partner with Inclusion Unpacked because they understand the value of DEI as it relates to their bottom line, but they’re frustrated with the solutions that currently exist. On top of that, many founders and leaders want “just in time” solutions that meet them where they are. That’s why we are launching our Beta Program this January. About: - Founders and Leaders are matched with a DEI expert to help answer questions and get real-time feedback - They’re able to access resources like “how to” guides, webinars, and events to help them along the way - Companies participating in our Beta will also be able to help inform product decisions ahead of our official launch announcement this spring (exciting stuff!)     Grateful for the opportunity to participate in Snap’s DEI Innovation Summit led by the remarkable Oona King and her team. Last Friday's event was a dynamic space where hundreds of industry leaders connected, shared insights, and delved into the pressing issues of our time. The value of community in driving success within the diversity industry became strikingly clear. Even as I sat through a virtual setting, the energy was palpable. A key takeaway that resonated with me is the vital role that community will play in reshaping and guiding the next generation of industry leaders.   • Hi Linkedin Community! Popping in to share updates to Inclusion Unpacked and ways you can get involved. The initial phases of a startup are always a little murky; you’re trying to find product market fit and build and speak to investors all at once. I’m the first to admit that I’m figuring things out. On top of the stats, you see the difficulties female founders like myself face. This path is not easy, but it’s certainly rewarding. That said, I am thrilled to share our initial version of our product offering called “Packs.” I founded Inclusion Unpacked because I heard over and over again from companies of all stages the desire to implement a simple DEI solution that was accessible— met them where they were and spoke to today’s generation of leaders. In the spirit of simplicity, we are rolling out our introductory product, membership “Packs.” Inclusion Unpacked ‘Packs’ - Think of ‘Packs’ like gym memberships but for diversity and inclusion.  - Packs are for companies of all sizes (solo founders and beyond) - Member companies pay a monthly fee and gain access to hundreds of DEI experts on demand, resources, events, and a community forum. - Our monthly pricing also allows you the flexibility to cancel anytime.
