CareerGenie just wrapped up its first week at Techstars in Denver and here's why we're super excited! Changing careers is often difficult and demotivating. Effective career advice, meanwhile, remains expensive and inaccessible for most. This should not be the case. World Economic Forum mentions that 50% of workforce needs to be reskilled by 2025 (> 1 bn people). This is creating a HUGE flux of professionals who need guidance in navigating their careers as they adapt to a new world of work. CareerGenie is on a mission to prepare this growing number of career changers for jobs in demand and give them control of their own journey! Brainstorming together with an incredibly smart group of change-makers at the Techstars Workforce Development Accelerator gave us so much insight into the many dimensions that humans need support in and helped us double-down on our vision to put a personal career coach in everyone's pocket. Building an impact-oriented business is tough, but being surrounded by mission-aligned startups, mentors and partners brings so much energy into our efforts.
