We're delighted to announce our partnership with Clusivi! 🤝 Clusivi, a FinTech startup, founded by Cedric Dewayne Lipsey in 2017, is on a mission to create financial access and inclusivity for all. Their innovative payment system, inspired by layaway, offers non-predatory, interest-free solutions, empowering consumers to access high-ticket services without the burden of debt. This software platform not only benefits consumers but also enables businesses to enroll customers who would otherwise find services financially out of reach. Through the Impact Charitable Collective for the Advancement of BIPOC Businesses Friends & Family Fund (CABB), Clusivi is poised to scale significantly. We are proud to support Clusivi's commitment to fostering economic stability and creating pathways to financing for underserved communities. Congratulations to Cleo Parker Robinson Dance (CPRD) on closing a loan from The Denver Foundation! From all of us at Impact Charitable, we're honored to have had the opportunity to help make this loan possible. Thank you for this wonderful post Benjamin Perry!
I am thrilled to announce The Denver Foundation's recent closing on a $250,000 loan to Cleo Parker Robinson Dance (CPRD) in support of their new community center: https://lnkd.in/g-gE2fvX. CPRD, founded in 1970, is one of the largest arts organizations of color in the Rocky Mountain Region and the western United States. Their new Center for the Healing Arts (https://lnkd.in/g3vwPhav) in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood will be an accessible incubator for the several dozen community organizations that lease it. As CPRD has emphasized, "The pandemic underscored the links between the arts, movement, community, and health advocacy; our expanded hub continues this critical mission.” Our investment was motivated by CPRD’s Advocacy and Wellness programs at the new site and by our historical commitment to the Five Points neighborhood. We are grateful to have joined the Center’s groundbreaking last month. “What I noticed most at the groundbreaking ceremony was the strength of community and the power of family to bring people together,” said impact investment committee member and Head of Philanthropy and Impact at BMO Family Office, Brook Kramer. “The Denver Foundation is able to leverage its impact investing resources to strengthen the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance community’s vision and reach in a collaborative manner among many stakeholders.” The foundation was ably supported in this transaction with underwriting by Cindy Willard and Kaylene Alvarez of Impact Charitable, with legal support and counsel from Heidi Glance of Holland & Hart LLP. This is just one of several exciting and catalytic investments from the foundation’s Impact Investing Pool – stay tuned! For more information about this transaction and The Denver Foundation's impact investing program, please DM me.

A big thank you to Jourdan McGinn for sharing her beautiful experience with us. Your dedication to creating supportive and thriving communities is truly inspiring. Our work is made possible by leaders like you. We're so glad to have you as part of the Impact Charitable family and thrilled to support you during this special time. ❤️
I am eight weeks into my twelve week (paid!) parental leave, and reminded of the importance of supportive workplaces in helping new parents thrive. My colleagues at Impact Charitable decided to make an hour long drive to come visit me and my new little one, and bring us baked goods and lunch. It's rare enough for an organization to provide twelve weeks of paid leave in the United States (where paid parental leave is not federally mandated), but even more exceptional for co-workers to go above and beyond to show support for new families in this way. As an organization who serves pregnant individuals, families with children and works to create thriving, equitable communities, it's a testament to what it looks like to walk the walk. Grateful to work with such thoughtful and kind colleagues.

Impact Charitable is proud to announce our partnership with the Doris Duke Foundation through their Opt-in For Families initiative! This collaboration marks a significant evolution in our work in economic mobility and provides us with the opportunity to work alongside other partners across four pilot sites - Washington, D.C., Kentucky, Oregon, and South Carolina. Opt-in for Families is a three-year, $33 million initiative aimed at demonstrating a cost-effective, scalable approach to keeping families together. It focuses on families who often fall through the cracks, with well-being needs that do not warrant child welfare involvement and who, as a result, often receive no assistance. Impact Charitable has been brought on board to help jurisdictions design the economic support component of this initiative. Stay tuned as we explore and expand the impact of this vital work!
